As we look back on 2024, we’re energised by the connections we’ve made and the learning, change, and growth we’ve been a part of. For every challenge, there’s been powerful, collaborative kōrero. For every frustration, we’ve seen meaningful action, And through the many shifts in our landscape, there’s been equal shifts inspiring strengthened and determined collaboration within communities and organisations across Aotearoa.
A year of impactful connections and growth
This year has been nothing short of transformational. Together, we’ve achieved:
37 Te Tiriti o Waitangi Activation sessions, engaging over 500 participants in kōrero that deepened understanding and sparked change.
14 Activating for Equity and Allyship workshops, where over 200 participants stepped up to take practical action for equity.
8 free or PWYC (Pay What You Can) events in Whakatū, bringing over 120 participants into spaces of learning and connection.
Partnerships with 30 local community clients and organisations, offering professional development, training, and support to drive equity and ground Tiriti-led practice across workplaces and projects.
We’re especially proud of the ways we’ve been able to directly invest in and support our communities.This year, we focused on supporting tamariki and rangatahi kaupapa Māori initiatives, from Kapa Haka sponsorships to koha that supports ākonga, as well as donations of time, pūtea, and resources wherever we could. We love this aspect of our mahi—because shared action is what drives equity.
Expanding our impact
2024 was also a year of growth and innovation. This year, we:
Designed and launched 4 new resources to empower cultural learning and confidence.
Donated over 30 sets of our resources to help organisations take practical steps in their own spaces.
Shaped our workshops into five adaptable formats, ensuring accessibility and impact for diverse groups and needs.
Tripled our team, welcoming fresh energy and expertise to drive this mahi forward.
Created a beautiful new website that reflects exactly who we are and what we do.
